@ AW_3_3 - The bars represent the exact amount of thanks you had received up until the reputation system was implemeted. Like any new thing there will be people who like and dis-like it. This system rewards accurate, regular posting.

Would you buy something from someone on EBay with no positive comments? This system (the comments) gives our members a good indication that the advice provided is correct and then will also help future visitors to fix their PC issues...it's what the site is for.

I am amazed that people would take the time to post on this thread but not post a short comment in a post, where someone has taken their time to help.

The reputation system is present on nearly EVERY forum on the 'net.

In addition, before I close this thread, Zachary only asked for this;
This new system is good, the only thing I miss is the part below the post that said who thanked you.
Is it possible to maybe put something like "Approved by: List of users" and / or "Disapproved by: List of users"
I know it could save some headaches if somebody searching for a solution to a problem avoided a piece of advice because it was clearly "Disapproved", despite it seeming logical.
..and I responded by having all comments on a post being directly pasted back into the post automatically..at a cost.

AW: With the thanks system you would have had less thanks than others so it doesn't particularly "look" different. Red points would be a different story and new members would think that looks worse than 2 green points. Keep on helping people and you will soon earn more points.

The system is much more valuable and useful than the Thanks system and won't be changing.
