Hi,
At the top of every page, you have 'Latest Discussions' and 'Latest Site News'. I personally never look at the 'Latest Site News' as not only do updates not occur very often (going by the dates) [which means the site is near perfect as-is! ], but also, I see the dates on some of the updates are in fact 2005 and 2006 !!

The 'Latest Discussions' list, however, is a lot more useful and while there is a drop down option to show more, there is no ability to fix the list at say 20 or 30 'Latest Discussions'.

Can I suggest the 'Latest Site News' column is removed and a second, consecutive 'Latest Discussions' list is added.

'Latest Site News' could then just be read as a regular forum thread.

If implemented, it would look 'something' like the below:

EDIT: Due to a major site re-design in the future, I have comprimised and removed the "Site news" column, as I agree, it doesn't really serve the purpose it was originally intended for. I have also increased the latest posts count to 15.
