Default Chat bug
I've noticed that every time I go to the chat (it's usually empty btw) it says I've joined the chat and immediately says someone else has left, is this a bug or do I just scare everyone away

Also, when the chat was first implemented I remember at the bottom of the forum index it said who was chatting, can that be brought back?

Yes that "Someone has left" message is common. I've seen it on a few other forums using the same chat room.

Your just scaring them away

Yes I have noticed this too, I gather it must remember the last member to disconnect and then actually process the disconnect when a new member joins, in between that it stays idle. Possibly. Hengis might be able to explain.

It is some thing to do with chat,not some one delibritly leaving when you enter.This often happens to me.OMG are they leaving cause I entered?Possible but I do not think so.

Chat some times shows people there when they have actualy left,if you refresh page the chatroom sorts its self out.

But if the chats background could be a permanent background,lets says windows then this would make things easier for people as a lighter background would show more text colours.

.No complaints about chatroom from me?LOL.

The background colour of the chat room can be changed.

Yes but can it be a permanent change so no one can change it?

Or can it be made that only staff control the background?

In the "Options" panel you can change your chat window to however you want it to look like, everybody has this option but it only applies to the window on their computer. The dark scheme it has now is just the default one, I've used "FlashChat" on other sites before and it's always like this
