gonna hang tight-this place looks worth it:-)

I`ve already gone thru activation process, in fact after struggling for a while even tried a second time just to see if I`d done anything wrong but it just resulted it a window opening up saying that my membership was already activated :-(

It is Phil trust me
If you want to post on a given topic I'm sure one of us can post (via cut and past) it in the relevant forum and state it is by you, hows that?
At least you can read it and the replies.

Very kind offer Wolfeymole

Must admit that my reason for coming here was that I`ve had a few probs with my machine recently (daughter was on MSN the other day and clicked on a link-what a nightmare, that`s her out of the will;-) ).

I`ve ran various online scanners, installed and ran new AV software (Panda AV), ran spybot,ad-aware,ccleaner,spyware blaster cwshredder, uninstalled MSN and reinstalled and uninstalled windows messenger

I think or hope my systems pretty clean now but the last thing I wanted to do was run hijackthis and see if anyone on here had any suggestions. I`ve d/loaded all the software as advised but not yet installed,I think the shortest trial period is 14 days so before asking peeps to start posting for me I`ll hang on for a couple of days and hope this issue gets resolved.

Once again thanks

Phil

Problem sorted (I think)

Looks like it was zone alarm that was blocking the site.Strangely enough I`d gone into the privacy tab and selected "allow" for all cookies, mobile code, web bugs and private headers for this site but still wasn`t having any success it was only when I turned on privacy advisor and clicked "click here for details" it was coming up with site name as uk.yahoo.com. I had cookie control set to allow session and persistent cookies but 3rd party was blocked, once I`d changed this to allow-hey presto logs me into all pages on the site no probs.

Just hope this doesn`t compromise my security at all

Not too sure bout that Upgrader as I`ve previously altered settings for other sites/forums-just didn`t think about it this time.As a rule I normally have both cookie control and ad blocking set to medium
