Just like translating certain other languages to english also. Great fun trying to make sense of them. Or subtitles in movies...

Notably, I remember watching a Jet Li movie that was in Cantonese, and the translations were so god aweful it was scarey. I know a bit of cantonese (very limited) and when they were saying "aunty" the translater decided that it was "86"......wtf?
