I got to right after i cleared my AMD drivers with drivesweeper. When i run that AMD program it says i have the latest drivers. I am NOT using on board video, i have an ATI radeon HD 4800 running dual monitors. I am going to just update the driver for the vid card (currently stuck in like 600x800 cloned on both monitors) but want to make sure that isn't a mistake.

Everything came up clean for the most part (like 200 tracking cookies/adware but that was about it), no errors, etc.

I am now going to plugin the usb to the monitor again and try a reboot. Ill let you know. Then i will be crashing out...moving sucks lol

ok, after about 15 minutes i got BSOD. I missed it but i think it was POWER_STATE_DRIVER_FAILURE or something to that effect...

I went into advanced power settings and under USB saw "Selective suspend setting" and disabled that.

Now when i restart it seems to not take as long to crash, lol.

Any detrimental effects to disabling that option?

The bios updater won't download. Get a file not found error....

I remember updating the BIOS when i first built it, and dont remember it being that complicated. I ran a program in win7 that just auto-reset and basically did it automatically.

Any workaround since i can't download the updater?

i was able to dl the bios, but when i go to Bios Utilities and try to download the BIOS updater it gives "file not found" error msg =/
