I just drop a mini SD card in my Sansa Fuze and go my merry way Arctos. Just finished Mike Resnik's Ship series.
@Arctos - The reason I chose the Sanas Fuze is because I can change memory cards. I know 32gig will hold a lot but I do not like being tethered to Itunes format and if I want books or music just change a card. That way I don't have to search. Besides, I have lots of SD cards. @Hengis -I agree with you. I had the fortune of testing one and my only negative comment was that it didn't have color yet.
My audio books go on as mp3's, as I ripped the original cd's. I try to get away from apples formats with drm. I have never worried about the lack of colour with the Kindle, books are black and white in the majority of cases. I do not have any technical books where there is a possiblity of colour pix being amongst the text. I like the shades of grey mono pix that come with the Kindle as well...
Aye Arctos, I find the screen easy to read and my comment about not having color was only a passing jest. My only vice is that anything I use must have multiple functions. I bought a Cruz Reader. It was cheap and runs Android OS. Funny an old blind man buying a EBook reader.
That's why I got the iPod originally, because the cataracts in my eyes were getting worse as time went past. I enjoy the audio books in the majority of cases, but there are some narrators that have voices that put me to sleep very quickly.
Ride The River by Louis L'Amour (Sackett Series). Ride the River (The Sacketts) eBook: Louis L'Amour: Amazon.co.uk: Books Beijing Conspiracy by Adrian D'Hage on the new iPod Touch (early Fathers Day present *) . My local library have now started to lend audiobooks. I hope they do not wake up to DRM as the books do not die after 21 days. They only rely on the borrower to delete them after this time. Yeahhh right. The Beijing Conspiracy: Amazon.co.uk: Adrian d'Hage, Jim Daly: Books * I also found out what happened to the lost iPod, one of the grand kids flushed it down the gurgler when they were here last. Little ^%$^#@#)...
