    Hi,

I don't think this is the right place to post this but I'll see what happens.

    I currently have a custom build of which specs are;
    AMD Athlon64 2.60GH'z,
    ASUS M3A78-CM MoBo
    OCZ Black Edition 500W PSU
    2x1GB OCZ Gold Edition 800Mh'z & 1GB Kingson 800MH'z
    500GB Western Digital Green HDD
    Standard IDE DVD+RW (White)
    In a standard black case.

I am wanting to move back to intel after 10 years of being an AMD User.

I have been looking at PC's, Knowing I wont get alot for mine I've been viewing the £200 - £260 mark just on the desktop PC without the extras such as screen, keyboard, mouse and speakers. (I'm happy with mine)

I have looked around at Shops on eBay and found a few that I like but looking at the MoBo and seeing its only got a VGA port and no DVI or HDMI kinda puts me off.

I dont mind paying extra but before I buy anything I want advise for one thats gonna last me and still be stable.

Here are two I have been looking at:

    SR PC E3400 500GB 4GB DDR3 GT520 1GB GAMING COMPUTER | eBay
    SR PC E6700 1TB HDD 4GB DDR3 RAM GAMING COMPUTER | eBay

    What your opinion?

If you find others that are in the UK and are worth a look please let me know

    Thanks Guys :D

    Welcome back Jaymie1989!

I would suggest that you build the machine yourself as it would give you more freedom of choice and you will be able to choose components without restrictions. Also the fact that for £200 - £260, you shouldn't expect more than browsing and light multitasking.

    Hey Jaymie1989

Your motherboard and CPU are not compatible with each other.
Motherboard is for sockets 1156 and CPU is socket 1155.

If you are buying ram with speed of 1600MHz you should be aware that you need to overclock your RAM speed to get 1600MHz. Unless the motherboard supports it and don't need to overclock it.

Is it also necessary 1.5TB of Disk space?
Buying 500GB could lower the price a little bit.

Also, do you mind about shipping? if not, newegg.com is a really good option.

Not bad but a few critiques:

    1. That is an absurd price for that RAM and there is no point in you buying 1600Mhz anyway, it won't run at that speed.

Save yourself £30 and a huge headache and get this:

    Corsair CMV4GX3M2A1333C9 2 x 2GB DDR3 SDRAM Memory: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

    2. You don't have a video card BUT you do have a new i3 and an H67 motherboard so you can use the on-board graphics and they are pretty good. If you like games, you probably will be able to play low-graphics games like The Sims or possibly even World of Warcraft. Just something to think about.

^Personally I would uninstall Windows 7 and keep it for yourself if you have the disc.

Without Windows 7 and Office 2007, you might get $200 for a rig like that here in the states. With Windows 7 and Office 2007 (As long as they're legit) you could maybe ask for $250.

You're in England yes? You might get more, stuff is actually less expensive and more common here in the states. I would start at £150 and see if you get any takers.

Sorry if that sounds low but computers devalue FAST. I have a computer that I honestly couldn't give away today, I MIGHT get $50 off it if I sell it to a naive person and it cost $1000 when I first bought it back in 2003.
