    Hello and Welcome to PCHF,
Can you give more details? Did you restore from another machine? From a backup? Were there any problems before? Have you tried re-installing the applications?

If you did a factory reset, applications from the previous install will fail to work. You must install them again.
    What happens exactly?

I am thinking about a probleme with net framework, go to Control Panel and look which version of .net framework do you have. Check out what system requirements have your unworking programs and download the needed net framework if it is necesary.

why you don't reinstall your OS , that will solve the probleme faster then searching for a way to fix it

Download and run free CCleaner , make scans to registry and aplications.
I just saw you post a log file above ,in that log file is a line which say you are running a win XP sp2 so if you are still running windows updates then the problem was occured after instaling some updates .
Possible you have now files of diferent versions which can't work together , you need to reinstall your windows with sp3 .
You may have corrupted registry, damaged dlls or viruses. 0x80070057 is telling you the things I just mentioned.
