OK, I've had this problem since last few months.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and I have a lot of browsers installed on my system (Opera, Firefox, IE9 beta, Safari, Chrome).

But whenever I start any of these browsers (except Firefox), my taskbar freezes completely. I cannot access anything on the taskbar including the start button. After pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, I select 'Start Task Manager', but that also freezes. Its as if anything related to explorer.exe freezes. The system only comes back to normal when I close the browser window.

Suprisingly, Firefox is the only browser which works perfectly without freezing the taskbar. I've Firefox 3.6 as well as Firefox 4.0b6 installed and both work without a problem. Any ideas? [IMG]

Try opening the browsers without addon. For IE it should be on the main menu and it should say IE with no addons

If that works for you, Chirag, you might reset IE. That's found going to IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> press the Restore advanced settings and Reset buttons individually

Yes, I currently have Bitdefender Antivirus installed, which is updated. Also, I checked the startup items for any malware infections using Autoruns, but didn't find anything suspicious.

There are few worring things about the log like lots of files missing and some BHOs I would from a cmd prompt type

    sfc/scannow
Have you install cd ready. Once you have done that lets check for malware if you can do the prework in my signature our team will look at it for you if only to eliminate it

    Done...It said:
    Code:
    C:\Users\User1>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
The log file is about 11MBs, should I upload that too?
