    Hello
Each time I go to watch a video on a webpage like YouTube, the sound lags behind by about half a second. It becomes much more obvious when I'm watching somebody talking. It also happens when I click pause on a video, the sound carries on for a short while after. The problem only started about 5 days ago when I was watching a film. If anybody knows a way to fix it then I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks

    Welcome To PCHF

First open your device Manager and uninstall your audio driver and reboot.
Type devmgmt.msc in your run box this will open device manager find your audio device right click it then uninstall. Reboot your machine.

Try this program to get an update for your audio driver.

You need to register the program in the link above and you get two free drivers in a 24 hour period.
Make sure and uncheck the highlighted boxes when installing drivermax.

If the above fails then Download UnknownDeviceIdentifierand post the log it Creates in your next reply.
Run the program allow it to finish then hit file> save > Save the file to desktop. The default file name will be DeviceList Attach Device list in your next reply.

Hit start button at lower left hand corner of the screen. Then in the run box type services.msc. Look for windows audio/anything to do with audio and make sure the startup type is set to automatic. To do this, right click selected service select properties then change the startup type to automatic then left click apply. You will need to reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.

Please download the windows all in one repair tool.

Make sure all the settings are the same in the screen shots That I have uploaded for you. Make sure and back up your registry also create a restore point. This is standard for any registry adjustments.

Sorry, should have checked for this before, but I noticed that it is only happening on Google Chrome while watching videos. Is there anything that could be causing this? Thanks for all your help with the first question, greatly appreciated. :D
