Hello, My Sony VAIO (VPCEE33FX) is currently up and running. Here is the issue though. If it goes to sleep, hibernates, restarts, or any other function in which the screen powers down it won't come back on. For instance, I left my laptop for a bit and came back to it asleep I tried to wake it up and the screen stayed black even though the light on the power button was green and the fan was on. I then tries to restart with the same thing occurring (lights and fan on but the screen stays black). Occasionally if I keep restarting it it will come on like normal. In order to still use it I have disables sleep, hibernate, etc so that it won't go into a coma and never wake up. One weird thing I noted is that when I close the laptop even though sleep is disabled the lighting in the screen goes out but easily comes back on when I open it back up. This leads me to believe it isn't a backlight issue. I don't know a whole lot about computers, but maybe it is the screen inverter? Anyways, if anyone could give me any auggestions I would really appreciate it! It is very frustrating having to keep it plugged in on life support 24/7 without being able to shut down or restart. This thing is only 1 year and 2 months old (just out of warranty....). Thank you all in advance for your generosity in helping me with this.
