Hey guys, I have the above Blu Ray player, but it wont accept my Blu Ray copy of the Aristocats. Thinking it was a firmware issue, I updated to the latest version, but the problem still remains. it tries to read the disc, then ejects it saying, this player cannot play this disc, or something to that effect. Before I phone Samsung tomorrow, any thoughts? The disc is for region A,B & C and older Blu Rays and DVD discs play fine. Could it be a DRM issue?
Not that ive noticed, spoke to support and they say that the size may be an issue? Other than that, I spoke to an authorised repair centre local to me and they want £49 just to look at it and tell me whats wrong, plus if it is faulty they then want more money for parts.
Forgive me MadGamer. I should have done research. In a situation like yours I'm guessing either a hardware problem or media problem. Of course you thought that already. The situation is very like the old style DVD burners. Some liked one type of disk and some didn't. Maybe this is the case?
I was browsing trouble tickets for your Samsung MadGamer and there seems to be above average complaints about your machine not reading disks. Mind you these are on forums across the Web. I still have not seen anything from Samsung. (no surprise there). If the machine is still under warranty then it may be time to let them have it back.
Trouble is, it's no longer under warranty, and all support said was other than a firmware upgrade (which I did do first), there is nothing we can do
