Window up since 9am...tis 11am now and it's just stuck on the loading page was like that last night as well --;; I'm surwe computers are out for me don't want me top make anything work...but all I rmemvber of the window, it was like a Driver window asking where you want to load it from, but it was asking for a Office XP Pro MSI file, i'm ot the best at descritions but I will try my best to get that Screen Shot.

Thanks, Just had a read through the Site, I take it that this deletes everything and makes the PC like brand New? If so then i'll have to save all my things on it, good thing I bought a DVD burner, But I do have problems with that but I'll save that for another day ^^;; Reinstalling wasn't soemthing I was looking to do but if i have to then I will.

Also have a problem with that...I won't be able to do the repairing yet, I don't have my XP CD yet, it says that there could be a 1-4 week wait to get the CD from Microsoft so I ahve no idea when it'll arrive, just wondering if theres anything I can do to tyry and fix while i wait?

When you perform a reinstall it does NOT delete anything from your drive, it simply replaces the existing windows files and fixes any problems.
Make sure you follow the link I posted because that explains how to run the repair install.

Another thing you could try is to click on START - RUN and type SFC /SCANNOW however you would need the Windows CD for this as well so we may have to wait for a bit.

If you manage to get a screenshot then post it up for us so we can look into solving it a different way until you get your XP disc.

Howdyho, tis me again just saying that I got the CD today in the post and I gave it a go for the repair and Surprisde Surprise...I have a Problem >> I'm having no luck am I? I read up the site that you linked me to and Fgured out to do it all, but the Problem i'm having is on step one >> The""put CD in and Reboot and it'll autoplay into the repair section"

I Put the CD in and Rebooted...and rebooted....and Rebooted but it never started so I read the site and it said to go into BIOS and change the 1st boot priority to ther CD rom which I did, saved and rebooted but All I got was the To start from CD Press any key and after I did that it just started XP up to my desktop with no window, no nothing asking to Repaior or install Windows, just wondering if I've done anything wrong or anything I can do to get it started? Thanks for the help so far, it's appreciated ^^

That is the correct message that you should see, make sure that you press a button as soon as you see the message. If you wait too long it will simply boot into windows.

So try pressing the <Enter> key as soon as you see that message and let us know if it goes into the install menu or not.

Thanks, ok..I did the Repair thing and that seemed to have made things worse than better, from the looks of it anyway, while it was Repairing I had a fair few Erorr merssage pop up:

"Can't find USBehci.sys in Windows drivercabinet"
    " "" "" VIAAGP1.SYS on Via AGP Filter"

"Setup Cannot copy File "clbcatq.dl_. Ensure that the windows XP proffesional Service pak 2 CD is in the Drive selected below or provide the Loacation where the file can be found"

On the one above it also happened for files:
    Comuid.dl_
    comssvcs.dl_
    catsrv.dl_.
    catsrvut.dl_
    clbcatex.dl_.
    colbact.dl_.
    comadmin.dl-.

and there were a few more as well to go with them, also on soem of them it said "windows may not work properly if they're not copied" Computers...A ****** ****** of a thingbut I need it so I can't realyl take a sledgehammer to it >>

    :BangHead:

Are you currently able to boot into windows?

If so then try this step that I mentioned earlier on

Alternatively do you have a lot of information on this computer that you require, if you don't then I would recommend performing a format and reload.
I am sure that would solve all of your issues.
