Will Windows defender run with Ca internet security suite? I want in for the startup manager. Will it run with out conflicting and or causing a runtime error? No other third pary security suite is on my pc.

    Hi Charlton,

Yes. They will both run fine together. Windows Defender is classified as an anti-spyware application rather than an anti-virus.

One last question, It also does antispyware but as a all in one product. it's 2010 and it's the basic antivirus and antispyware it don't have any other feature other than those. Will that be ok?

    Hi,

I've never used CA's suite of products but it is certainly better than nothing

I would also use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as an additional scanner.

So malwarebytes or defender will be ok. Also I had a antimalware I thought was very good It's from Surfright called Hitman pro 3. It's a paid client it has expired but look into for yourself. hitmanpro.com

    Hi,

Yes. I've used Hitman Pro (the free version) in the past where I was in a jam and nothing else worked.

You can use as many Anti-Spyware apps as you want so Windows Defender and Malwarebytes will work together well
