Solved Problem with Intel 82579V Gigabit Network Connection

    Hey!

    so i just got my fiber 100/10 and it works fine on the other computers . but on this i cant get more than 10/10.
    i have this network card :Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection . and sabertooth p67 motherboard.

    so if i set it to run auto negotiation, or anything higher than 10mb/s full duplex, it says that no cable is connected..



    have searched the web for answers but cand find any. any help/answer here? :)

    Welcome to the forum. What o/s are you running and what is it connected to ie a router and hat cable is it CAT5 or 6

    i have windows 7, i use the same cable and router as i did on the other computer, not sure if it is cat5 or 6, how can i chack that?

    Has win 7 got homegroup installed if you remove it and disable ipv6. Download the wireless test tool in my signature and then right click and choose run as admin and post the results

    What is this connected to ie router or modem as its showing no NAT as if connected directly to a modem. Make model of router or modem?

    okey, so i just bought a new network card, dlink DFE-530TX, and still, it wont let me go 100up and 10 down, it's like the OS stopping me or something.

    How are you working out the speed a 100 meg speed is unlikely at the best of times it can connect at that but rarely reach that due to disk speeds Av scanning files cpu etc

    so i go to a wedsite and do a TPtest. I've just got my fiber and on my other comp gets like 95/10 when i do a tp test, but on this one, i do only get like 10/10
