    Dear friends,
I have recently got a new system. My specifications are as below:-

    Processor is Intel i5 2320 @ 3.0ghz
    RAM is 4gb ddr3
    Motherboard is Intel DH61WW
My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
And graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 2GB DDR3
I have updated to its latest drivers version 301.42
    DirectX is 11.1
Still I'm facing issues with gamings. I found out on NVIDIA forums that my graphic card is not for gaming at all.
So now I'm thinking to change my graphic card. But I'm worried. Suppose if I bought any random card and then I learn its not compaitible with my system specs, than what will I do?

So guys Please suggest me a decent graphic card on which I could play games like CODMW3 or MassEffect etc, and which is compaitable with my system. My budget is moderate Rs.5000.
    Thanking You
    Vikas Lohia

    Hello and Welcome to PCHF,
What genius said that? Do you have a link to support that statement? Here's ME3 running on that card :

COD will run flawlessly. Stick with the card as your budget to get a decent one is too low.

    Hello Kedar,
I was equally shocked. and yes I can support my statement, you just have to login in NVIDIA forums and under Geforce Basic, you will find my thread in the name of Vikas Lohia. here is the link

But I must tell you that I am indeed getting problem with gaming. I've got a decent file of CODMW3 from my friend, this file has no problem. It installed properly. Game is launched smoothly, but when I begin gameplay, game starts to stuck for split seconds. After 4-5 minutes of game play I'm thrown out of game. PC is almost hanged. only CTRL+ALT+DEL work. In task manager the game is shown as "Not responding", only after ending the process, PC is fully recoverd.
Same story for ME3, SniperEliteV2 and Ages of Empire III. Sofar only Ages of Empire2 worked but wiith very slow and bad graphics .
Please tell me what should I do?
Now with your response I'm totally confused.
Please take note that my card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 with latest driver version 301.42

If it isn't a legit copy you will have problems. I have tested the Steam version on an nVidia GT 220, and it works fine on full settings at 1080p.

Legal games come on discs and via Steam etc. Files aren't. Here's MW3 working just fine on a GT 520.

Unless the issue is with legally obtained game discs, I cannot provide help in accordance with the PCHF policy.

I am aware of PCHF policy, therefore I will request your help only for my legitimate games, which I have bought.
The problem is not with game alone, I think I have messed with setting some where. are all my setting ok?
Here is the screenshot of my NVIDIA toolbar, please see it and check resolution size. is this resolution ok?

Screenshot doesn't help much, and I've had performance issues in the past with a VGA cable, so if your monitor supports DVI, use DVI.

Are you sugessting that my monitor is the cause of problrm? bcoz I had no issues with display. I play HD videos and all, no issues of display. Its only when we start games, the game starts to lag.

    Hi Kedar,
I tried to capture a video, using snagit, of my NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL. Its a 100 sec video, can you please take a look and tell me if any setting is wrong. You might have to watch it in full screen.

    Thank You Kedar.

I never said that. HD videos require much less GPU power when compared to games. The settings are fine, does your monitor have a DVI port?
