Had some help here, and was being pointed to MSI GTX560Ti This is for a new build on a ASUS P89Z77-V LE + i5 3570K +16GB Was just about to order the card when I realised it is PCIe2 ... as the motherboard accepts PCIe3 should I be aiming to get PCIe3 graphics card. I know they are backwards compatible and PCIe2 will work ... but does the PCIe3 give enough benefits that make it worthwhile getting one over getting PCIe2
Hello Osprey.. From my experience anything that is backwards compatible will have slower data streaming..
so are you saying I should only put PCIe3 cards in a PCIe3 slot ? So if I get a PCIe2 card I should use PCIe2 slot
I couldn't find one in the PCIe3 catagory....but the PCIe2 version ranks number 4 at futuremark.com in comparison with other cards which isn't bad at all and at a good price..
