    (Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this thread, i could not think where it would go)

    So i got my gaming PC yesterday

    GPU=AMD Radeon HD 6970
    CPU=AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 Quad Core 3.6Ghz w/ standard heat sink and fan
    RAM=8GB (2x4gb) @ 1333mhz
    Motherboard=Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Socket AM3 / AM3+ FX Motherboard
    1TB HDD
    PSU=700w OCZ ModXStream-Pro (or something like that)

    so here is the issue, i downloaded some games and played them, today i went to go play arma 2, i played it for about 20 mins and then the screen froze and the audio cut out, the pc was not responsive to commands and i was forced to hold down the power button and restart, this happened about 5 times over, i tried a different game and the same thing happened, does anyone know what the issue may be?

    i was thinking it was maybe a cooling issue but this happened one of the times when the PC was quite cool after being off for 40-60 mins

    this is gonna sound like a broken record, but have you tried updating your drivers? Idk if they come updated in a new PC (New PC's are something I can only dream about :( ) Have you ran a Malware check? If you downloaded your games from a less.. reputable source, it would be worth your time to check out www.malwarebytes.org.

    i get all my games from steam so its a trusted source, the drivers might be it as i installed them using the disk for the motherboard, but the GPU drivers were installed from an online source, and seeing as i have Norton 360 i doubt any malwaare would of got through if i went into any dodgy sites

    P.S recently i have been putting a fan infront of the air intake and it seems to be crashing less so it might of been a heating issue all along but it did crash once when this was the case...while playing a FLASH GAME, but does not playing DAYZ, i dont understand my PC -_-

    Also it might have been the face that it was on for 3 days without turning off, that is not the case anymore and seems to be crashing less like i said when i have the fan
