So this all started about a year ago. During shipping my computer I noticed my liquid cooling dripped a little bit out, mostly on top of the plastic casing to my graphics card. I did my best to clean everything up, I'm an electronics technician so I did it smartly. Upon trying to start up my computer everything went smooth. Except, nothing on my monitor would show up, it just said searching for input. I also noticed none of my USB ports were working( made me think NOT a gfx card issue). So I just put it aside until now, haha. I have searched and searched, I have reset CMOS, I have unplugged everything, cleaned multiple times. Im stuck. I have a feeling it's the MOBO or CPU, but I want to be able to make sure... Another thing I just noticed is that when trying to open the CDROM it ejects all the way, then instantly goes back in. If I unplug it it from the MOBO, it will operate normal.

I wouldn't mind buying The items to fix it, I just don't want to buy every piece if someone could help eliminate some possibilities!

Stressed, and help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have another computer that you can test you GPU in? If it works fine in another computer then I would say it is most likely the mobo because of the USB issue.

I will be bringing my GPU to a buddy at work on Monday to test it out! I'd rather it be MOBO, haha. I know the basics of computers, but if it is my MOBO, when I purchase a new one should I get a MOBO/CPU combo? Or am I able to swap the CPU to the new?

I'd prolly go with the combo, depending on how old your CPU is. Just make sure that both the cpu/mobo have the same socket type.
