Any musicmatch users out there? It's a wonderful program, but for some reason I can't get it to play out of all my speakers. It only works on the two front speakers. I know the other speakers are set up right, since they work fine with windows media player and the av rack program that came with my motherboard. Is there something I need to click in the options menu? If there is I can't see it. Any help would be appreciated.

    :) Hey Iron Pidgeon,

Check under Options, Player, Output Control. You may have to choose the drivers for your speaker system, it sounds as if you are currently set at Default.

Yes, I see where you're talking about. It is set to default, but it doesn't seem to want to let me change it. "Default" is greyed out and the scroll bar next to it is locked.

OK, that's telling us that you have only one audio playback device installed.

Can you please post your speaker set up and soundcard specs? Also, in control panel, depending on your view, either click on Sounds, Speech and Audio devices, or Sounds and Audio Devices.

If the first, click on Change Speaker settings. If the second, the same dialog box will already be open. Click on the Advanced button under Speaker Settings, and make sure your speaker set up is selected.

Then, click on Audio, and see if there is an alternative Sound Playback device listed. Select the alternative.

    Look forward to your reply,

I've got creative inspire 5.1 speakers. I'm using the onboard sound that came with my soyo dragon 2 v 2.0 motherboard. There's a cable with three connectors coming from my speakers. They're green, orange and black. They're supposed to correspond to front, subwoofer/center, and rear speakers respectively. I've got them hooked into the same color slots on the motherboard. There's actually 3 more slots on the mobo: grey, blue and pink. I've tried putting the cables in these slots without result. I've got the windows speaker configuration set to 5.1. I've also got the sound manager that came with my motherboard set to 5.1. Sound playback doesn't give me any alternative to the realtek AC97 audio, which is the default. I'm stumped. Could my drivers be messed up?

    LOL,

That's going to take him to the control panel speaker properties, correct?

(BTW, I don't have a speaker icon on the far left or far right of my taskbar, does that just show up if you have special speaker setups?)

    Look forward to your reply,

:cheesy: I know about the little arrow, Silly. I do not have a speaker icon in that area. I have a volume control, and that is the only sound related icon there.

I just want to make sure that Iron Pidgeon is being told to look for something he will be able to find.
So you do not have a special set up of speakers? Mine are off the rack, dual.

The only speaker icon I have in my taskbar is for the volume control.

    Howdy Iron Pigeon,
That is the button I was talking about. Somtimes you have to tick the speakers yourself here is how mine is if I just leave it alone notice it has the sub etc.

I enabled all the volume sliders there. They all seem to be "turned up." Still no change. What I don't understand is why it's only musicmatch. Windows Media player, the media player my mobo came with, and my games all run through all speakers. Maybe I should just disable the onboard and buy a soundcard. It's been giving me grief since I bought it.
