    Mouse running all over the place!!
    Please help me if you can. My Mouse has a mind of it's own. It is like something is pulling it away from me. It won't go where I point it and when I try to type something it jumps off of where I am trying to type and I have to get it back on that page or program and I'll type one or two letters,,,and then I'm no longer typing into that page! Very annoying & time consuming, I've reset the mouse many times..but nothing has helped. Is there something that I can do?? I am desperate. Also, CPU is showing 100% Usage and it is interfering in going from page to page on the net. Is this related. I have run all my Spyware , Virus & Maleware and Reg Seeker apps and everything shows as OK..But it is very far from OK. I Thank you in advance for any & all suggestions that you might have.
    Here is my Hijack Log. This is a Compaq Presario & I have lots of Ram & Lots of free space. I'm on XP Professional.

    Hi addie,
    you say you have a Compaq Presario, what model is it. are you using the touch pad,can you attach an external mouse and see if you still have the problem. Can you get into safe mode and try it there. If you are talking about the touch pad i will move this to laptop support.

    This type of annoyance may be due to

    * Your mouse driver may be corrupted.
    * Your mouse to computer connections may be loose.
    * Your mouse itself may be dirty, so you need to clean it as per your manufacturer's instructions.

    If a wireless mouse & you haven't already done these

    * Try different USB ports for the receiver.
    * Try a wired mouse. Radio interference may cause erratic behavior in a wireless mouse.
    * Try different mouse settings
    * Change batteries.

    Also
    * Run your security software to check for problems again.

    If you use a Microsoft wireless mouse -See Microsoft "Fix It" troubleshooter (Microsoft article 321122).

    I had the same problems and discovered that these problems can result from a software conflict.

    Windows 7 comes with IntelliMouse software. Microsoft mouse owners are advised that IntelliMouse can conflict with Logitech software. The recommended solution is to remove IntelliMouse. Instructions are posted at the following:

    Troubleshoot a wireless mouse that does not function correctly

    This solution appears to have resolved my mouse issues.
