    Which one of the threat under the 3 categories would cause information to come up saying "If you don't pay we'll turn you in for child Pornography"?

    Not to cause a problem but how is Iolo System Shield a rouge when it hasn't caused a problem to my PC?
    I've ran into a Fake Security Program & it blocked the program from downloading.

    System Mechanic Professional which includes Iolo System Shield is what i'm using.

    In my 1st post of this thread, I was asking that because my adoptive dad Jack ran into a threat that brought up a message saying "If you don't pay, we'll turn you in for Child Pornography" but his PC didn't freeze nor did any "Not Responding" actions. That's why I was asking that.

    Could what I typed still be info of "Ransomware" or another threat in the following list below?

    That's correct, I was referring to what you reference

    Yes, those are the characteristics of ransomware. One that comes to mind is Ukash which we've seen a lot of around the forums
