Log in to local account on a domain computer

    OK, that's what I thought. I tried it with no dice. I'll try on another computer and see what happens.

    I dont get this its crazy to control pc's they have to login to a domain account if they dont they dont get the domain profiles and restrictions. You can login to a domain account and still have control over the local box if the domain account is part of the local group.
    If they are logging into a local pc with full admin rights your company can be at risk of data theft and malware and depending on the country and type of businesses you could be failing in legal requirments

    There is more to our setup than meets the eye. We have several branches spanning all over southern California. The only users that have actual domain accounts only work for corporate and at the corporate branch. The computers are on the domain so that they can be centrally managed otherwise I would need multiple techs to take care of pushing out updates, software and what have you.

    But they are not on a domain if there logging in as local admins unless they have given domain admins rights in the local pc which a user can revoke if he is local admin

    You are correct. They are not on the domain since they are logging into the computer via local accounts but the computer is self is on the domain. So they are logging into local accounts on a computer that is on our domain. They also have very locked down profiles.
