    Hi,
Just finished building my first PC with these components
    i5-3570k Ivybridge 3.40ghz
    Asrock P67 Extreme 6
MSI twin Frozr II GTX 560ti 1024mb
    Kingstond DDR3 8GB RAM (2x4GB)
    OC-UK 22x DVD/RW+sata
    1tb HDD
    Cooler Master GX 650W

I have put together all the components, all the connector cable and power cables in place, the SATA cables also. But when I go to turn it on the TV detects a device (mini HDMI-> HDMI converter) But then no signal and there is no recognisable sound of the computer booting besides the Heatsink starting then slowing down. Any help would be much appreciated to help me with this issue.

I think it might be a functionality issue with the GPU as I do not know whether there is an LED inside it that indicates that it is functional. Also it seems that a cable or cables that in the manual state are vital but may not be. UPDATE

    Hey there dangoesforth,

I had a similar problem when building my pc where it would turn on but no signal on the pc, i found out the problem was i didn't have a good enough GPU. Try putting your pc specs into this site and see what power supply you need http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

Just did I am 200W over what it recommends, I think it is a motherboard/GPU issue, maybe 2nd gen motherboards aren't completely compatible with ivybridge, which was my biggest worry.

P67 Board, Ivy bridge processor. You need to download the bios update first. Go to the Asrock website and see if there is an update, if not, you're pretty well screwed unless you a Z77 board or a compatible P67. Go check for 1 now. As for applying the update with no bios or boot up function, some 1 else will have to help with this part. But as for the PC not starting, you NEED a bios update.

Yeah it has an update and the BIOS should show a previous version to allow the update to occur. Shows how to do it on their website.

What do you mean a previous? you are using an incompatible processor and motherboard combo. You need to get the Ivy Bridge processor BIOS update. Unless you have ALREADY some how applied the update...

If you applied the Ivy Bridge bios update to the motherboard and it still is not working, chances are it's DOA.

I think I have found issue, the bleep will not occur without the memory properly installed and the dr debug thing has indicated only issue being memory not installed, so I am going to buy a new memory today to see if it is that.

Just built PC will not go to BIOS screen
