Is that condoned here? I'm not sure we are allowed to provide that sort of assistance due to misuse ect.. The OP could try using Revo Uninstaller Free Edition, to brute force his way to removing Intel RST Always works a treat for me
It has been done before. If a member enters into a private arrangement with another member then we have no powers to stop that. We do not offer it as a service and all members should take any offer of support on its individual merits, exercising all usual security measures. As a website we are not liable for, nor do we support or encourage these personal, remote support arrangements, however, we acknowledge that they happen from time to time.
So i just went into control panel uninstall a program and it seems to have worked at removing intel RST this time. Although it said something about you are not allowed to uninstall the driver itself but it will remove the interface etc. So its no longer in my list of programs in 'uninstall a program' and is not in the taskbar on startup.
Open start menu, and type MSCONFIG and open it up, go to the startup tab, and uncheck anything that represents or looks like its linked with Intel RST
I think he already did this, in an earlier post. EDIT: Maybe your Revo Uninstaller would do the trick?
I edited my last post, I'll just say it here too, which is maybe your Revo uninstaller suggestion would do the trick?
So after the last couple of steps, when I turned it on today the same problem happened. But this time (yesterday) I havent plugged any USB devices in (if you dont include the network adaptor)
I'm really stumped, I'd suggest using TeamViewer 7 to let me have a look and whatnot. But beyond what I've already told you I don't know what to do. I am pretty sure it is a driver issue. In fact I am adamant it is since it is USB related.
I was going to say I was pretty certain it was a driver issue as well, I was just so stumped as you were I didn't know how to voice myself haha Maybe he should just backup all his stuff, format, get everything running perfectly and then create a system image..? Registry cleaner could also (sometimes) fix the issue.. :\
Good idea. At this point I don't think mentioning specific drivers or having him uninstall certain drivers is going to help us rectify the issue, we don't know everything about his system anyway. A clean reinstall would be very useful in pinpointing the issue,
So if its a driver issue (this may be a really stupid question) is there a particular part of hardware that could be the culprit? As my parts individually are still under warranty, but not the computer as a whole which is why I haven't taken it back to where i got the parts from yet ($40AUD charge to diagnose a problem + $80 if it results in a windows reinstall) Also I may have stupidly just remembered I have USB speakers plugged in and the receiver for my wireless desktop constantly plugged in but these aren't causing problems as far as I can tell, it either seems to only be storage based ones (ipod, hard drive, usb stick) or occurs when I try and eject these last 3 usb devices.
