    Whenever I use a program that requires a decent amount of bandwidth, my internet cuts out. It only resumes working again if I take the ethernet cable out of the modem for a moment before putting it back in.
    Ex. of programs it decides to **** out on..
    Team Fortress 2, League of Legends, uTorrent, etc...

    I've had this problem for a couple weeks now ever since I went out and got this new computer but enough is enough. I'm getting really sick and tired of having to reach back and take the f***ing cable out every single time to get the internet to work once it stops(Which happens quite frequently whenever I use a program that uses quite a bit of bandwidth). I know it's a problem with this computer because the internet works perfectly fine on the other computer.

    My OS is Windows 7 x64
    The internet company is Comcast, and my IP is static.
    Any idea on what it could be?

    Checkmark the following boxes:


    Flush Dns
    List Installed Programs
    List Users, Partitions and Memory size

    Would you please tell me which antivirus applications you have had previously on this machine any and all.The reason I ask is because some like to hang around after you uninstall via add remove programs and require the use of removal tools.



    Download CCLEANER


    Just DONT us the registry cleaner function of CCleaner unless you know what you are deleting exactly!!

    Then open ccleaner hit the tools button then startup second one down below uninstall then in the bottom right hand corner of ccleaner hit save to text file.Save it to your desktop and post the startup.txt here in your next reply.


    Hit the start button in lower left hand corner. Then in the run box type msconfig, then hit the services tab then put a check mark in hide microsoft services what is listed there,after hiding microsoft services?Please post back to us in a vertical list.

    Download CCLEANER


    Just DONT us the registry cleaner function of CCleaner unless you know what you are deleting exactly!!

    Then open ccleaner hit the tools button then startup second one down below uninstall then in the bottom right hand corner of ccleaner hit save to text file.Save it to your desktop and post the startup.txt here in your next reply.


    Hit the start button in lower left hand corner. Then in the run box type msconfig, then hit the services tab then put a check mark in hide microsoft services what is listed there,after hiding microsoft services?Please post back to us in a vertical list.

    P.S. - I know you wanted me to uninstall Zonealarm but I have so many Chinese intruders up my *** all the time that if I take it off it's going to be downtown china on my computer within the hour. Normally I would find a more mainstream firewall which has little reports of interfering with connections but I've already confirmed that Zonealarm is not the cause of it as I've already uninstalled it in the past and continued to experience problems after a full uninstall. I used the computer for a full day without any firewall and it still had the same connection issues. (Not to mention the volume of **** that I had to fix from those pesky Chinese taking advantage of my computer having no firewall)

    IPv6 is already disabled. Did that back when I first got the computer. And I've done all your other instructions as well. I'll report back the day after tomorrow on whether or not I'm still experiencing problems.
