Hello, this thread here would be for comments on software that you have used from here or wish to post a recommended download (please no executables). This way all post will be in one place and this particular forum will not get cluttered with post, which makes it hard to find a download you would like to use. All links have been verified as good and clean... Veeg
Hmm...This means I can post my finds here Vger? I was so used to posting in the Tech Member for comments. Forgive me if I am out of place.
This is actually not my find. It was brought to my attention by kyle7042. I thought it might be useful to members who are new to Linux and want to dabble a bit. It is more focused on Ubuntu. Wubi is the program. The link is to the Wubi Guide to help interested users decide if Wubi is useful or not. The is a download link on the guide page. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide
Hi vger! I hope this is the right place for this. I have used this software for years. I use it after uninstalling a program to find left over files. http://www.voidtools.com/download.php
After looking thru it Dokie,i am going to hold off until i see if the stalled implementation/further updates is going to resume... Thanks for the info tho..
Hi vger! Not sure what your saying. It's a great tool for finding left over files and folders after a uninstall. I have used it for a long time and I wouldn't be without it. It's so much better than the windows search. I hardly ever use windows search. This will search all your drives, not just the C drive
Ok,i was going thru the forum there, and noticed that the developer has stalled in in development/updates since April and closed down the registration..So just trying to make sure that the versions are going to stay current... I will research it further...
Show me another program that can find all your captured jpeg's on two different drives. The F drive is my seagate external HD. where I keep all my back ups.
Liking your spunk here Dokie... I have no doubt this is a very useful tool, but i have to look at the long term as well...and have no fear my friend i didn't say i wasn't going to put it in Utilities.. It would be another Utility i would have to monitor to make sure it stays current..in updates, and good links, current to the practical use of the current OS's being used ....I take this as part of my responsibilities running Downloads..
I just think it's a great tool. I understand your concerns. Here's a link to help you check it out. How many PC's that once had Norton Anti-Virus installed on it can you say that there are no left over files laying around. You won't find any on my PC. I'll give you a 100$ for every Norton file you find on Dokie's PC PS You won't find any Norton entries in my register either. I use Regedit and F3! Try it out my friend. You will love it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everything_(software) Your doing a great job vger! Thank you my friend! Dokie!
