Hi folks. I want to upgrade my speaker system. It's just not loud enough, but the bass is good though. I have a very old system,, I bought it over 2 years ago, and for that time it wasn't that bad.. But I want to upgrade it now, and I don't know what to...

I have Logitech X-240 system. I paid about $70 (I very could be wrong about this though), I'm going to sell it on eBay for about $30...hopefully somebody buys it. But seeing 16 items of this kind listed, I don't know if it would be a quick sale or not...

If I do sell it for $30, + I have another $50 + I'll get another $20-30 = I could have as much as $110 (This number very much could fluctuate higher)



What and where can I buy in US for that amount of money?? I want the sound to be louder...the bass could get deeper as well...

I looked on eBay, there is nothing there that excites me for my dollar amount, but I could be missing something..

I heard them play last night. Sick stuff. The sound is very nice. But they are a bit pricy and no bass box.

What about Altec Lansing VS4621, any good?? Are they much louder than what I currently have?

I bought a Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 system (Subwoofer (amplified) and two satellites) in 1998 /99 and they still belt out good sound when teamed with a good sound.card.

Altec Lansing speakers are good speakers to get, Bose your paying for the name mostly and I would not buy them myself.

Logitech have some reasonably priced setups have a look at those in your price range...

My older brother had a a great B&O stereo system back in the 70's, he cried when he blew the speakers out (Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture does that to speakers)...

$100 - I want LOUD speakers (bass can be not the best), but LOUD. My speakers are only 25W (as I know of); I want double of that (at the least).

You need to get amplified speakers with an external volume control...

I guess :-(
