Ok thats weird.o_O Try this: Remove all versions of flash player. Both the one that you install manually and the older one that was already installed. Make sure Firefox doesn't see any versions of Flash. Then download this version "Flash player 11.2 for Ubuntu (apt)" again from Adobe's website and try to install it again. See if that works.

I did as you said. Used the software center, and it says I installed Flash layer 11. Then I opened my Firefox's Add-on manager and it says all I have is the 'Shock wave 10' , and no other Flash player/Shock wave item. But the weird part is, it says Shock wave 10 is disabled, still.

Much weirder thing is. I tried to watch youtube.com/captainsparkles and Antvenom's videos, yet they were all giving me messages about Flash not enabled, and or the video isn't available, if not, then gives me a black screen, after flashing the 'missing plugins' icon in front of the video.

Well that is weird. Ok try this then: Uninstall Flash from the Ubuntu software center, Go into Firefox's plugin folder and make sure there isn't any file named "libflashplayer.so". Then start Firefox and see if it's still registering Shockwave 10 as being installed.

    Okay.

I deleted it all. Yet my Firefox still says it has Shockwave 10.1 51d is on and active, yet more testing(Through Youtube, just black screen, through deviantART chat, I am doing just fine). Odd and the software Center, and my package manager both says I don't have flash player.

    No. I don't have Flash.

Well been on Youtube(Not using feather beta this time) and in deviantART Chat room, all day and with no problems of any sort, other then a small delay with videos starting up. ^^ :) Though Firefox still thinks/says it is using version 10.

Wow. I was skeptical of the 'purge' part of the commands when I was looking up how to play Minecraft on Linux. Tehehe Well there is my 'learn something new everyday' :D

Well seeing as it was that kind of work to take for Flash alone. I won't bother with GIMP, and wait for Ubuntu's release date on 2.8. So, yeah, you can mark this thread as solved.

Oh and what does the terminal mean by this? " flashplugin-installer 11.2.202.236ubuntu0.12.04.1
    adobe-flashplugin 11.2.202.236-0precise1
You should explicitly select one to install.

E: Package 'flashplugin-nonfree' has no installation candidate"
Said this after I installed Flash. ...

Well Guess we aren't done? Because I just had a flash crash, that ended up crashing the browser.

Well we we're almost there. Ok run this command again:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get purge adobe-flashplugin
Now what files are in this directory?

    /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/

Also what files are in this directory?

    ~/.mozilla/plugins/

One more thing, Please post the contents of your /etc/apt/sources.list file.

Terminal said Adobe Flash plugin wasn't even on the computer, so it wasn't removed.

There is no usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/ that I can find, nor with the search bar. Yet in my home folder I still have an 'adobe' folder and a 'macromedia' folder, both containing 'Flash_Player' folders

The plugin folder is empty, even the Extensions folder is empty.(Search home folder, because I don't understand or see anything for '~/')

    It is a lot. Wow
At first I thought you meant 'Sources.list.d' folder.

Not that I can find in what they say is installed, nor does the Terminal say Adobe Flash player is installed. Going home/.adobe/Flash_Player/AssetCache/ZFXB2XH4 and at the end of those are a ton of files. While Going through home/.macromedia/Flash_Player(Folder. Two folders, I am going through one, now)/macromedia.com(folder)/support/flashplayer/sys/settings.sol(file). From that Flash_Player(The other folder I didn't go through)/#SharedObjects/D9T6LMNP(Empty Folder)

Yeah, I read that as a small notice on Adobe's site.

Ok delete thos two folders (.adobe and .macromedia) and then install Flash from the file you downloaded. This one: "Flash player 11.2 for Ubuntu (apt)".

I did, and restarted my browser. While Firefox now says I have both version 10, and version 11 on the browser.

Ok. Disable version 10 and see if flash still works.

Flash is still working. Though with how old this computer is, and how small, I can't expect to have Flash run to long, or it will crash on me.
