I reposted this from the Video game section to here: Please help me with this.. i just got Fallout 3 today and it doesn't work like My other game (Dead Island). it doesn't work when i start it, i always get the "Fallout3 has stopped responding" message. and sometimes i get the BSOD (Blue Screen of death) the only thing that info that i can give you guys is that some of my Games and Programs doesn't respond when i use alt+tab and i need to click the game multiple times in the taskbar whenever i use alt+tab Dead Island is working whenever i use alt tab then go back again but it doesn't work on Fallout 3 i already tried the .ini fix and it didn't work i also patched it to the latest version and still no luck i'm really angry at my pc right now because it keeps giving me this issues i think i don't have any virus because i scanned it using eset smart security 5 and i also tried the compatibility trick and it doesn't work this is my BSOD file
Its common for the computes to behave abnormally when it comes to playing high end games. Did you check, whether your computer meet all the requirements of the game? And if your computer keeps on giving you the BSOD, then its time to check whether all the operating system files are intact or not. Do a SFC scan to repair any minor corruption in the operating system files. Launch the command prompt as an admin and then type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes and hit the enter key. Do wait, until it completes and then reboot the PC and try to play your game and start loving your computer!!!
Hello there! Welcome to PCHF! Seems like the crashes could be related the following drivers: Code: ULCDRHlp.sys - ULCDRHlp driver belongs to the software Ulead CD/DVD Burning Engine by Ulead Systems, Inc. The driver is dated : Thu Dec 23 02:17:09 2004 GEARAspiWDM.sys - GEAR ASPI Filter Driver or iTunes I would recommend to remove them both and reboot the system. Then see if it crashes again. Bugcheck: Code: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e) This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address. Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted /NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ... If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is happening. Chrisora, You are unique. You are the first who has not understood those directions. You run CCleaner. You click on the Tools Icon on the left You click on the startup botton on the left. You click on the Save to text file button on bottom right. You perform similar but using the Install button. In your next post, you use the PaperClip at tt the top (next to the smiley selector) Browse to the file to be uploaded. Upload click on the down arrow next to the paperclip and choose attach.
Please note, duplicate thread has already been opened here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/pc-games/128690-help-my-computer-games-programs.html Please stick to a single thread Chrisora, would you like us to merge them?
@madmonkey: yes, i would love to merge them.. i'm sorry for making a duplicate thread.. i just think it would help me more..
no i haven't.. because my PC suddenly didn't work.. i also made a post about this in here.. here it is: http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-vista-7/129101-my-pc-wont-start.html
OK, the crashes may have been early symptoms of that problem in that case Chrisora.. I didn't think the stop errors were related. Will keep this thread open until you have solved that problem, and then let us know if the BSOD's and crashes have resolved too?
i tried almost of the suggestions mentioned.. and it still didn't work.. and as for nameisuser.. this is the file that you need
