    Hi!

I have a system with msi 760 gm-e51 mobo and with sata2 and sata3 hdd.
Yesterday when i opened my pc the mobo beeped only after 1 min and when i was in win i noticed that teh sata 3 is not visible anymore.
    The sata3 is a Seagate 7200 at 500 gb.
It does not shown in bios either, i tried to set bios to fail safe or optimal, but same issue.
After i noticed that my dvd rom does not works either. Its there, starting, but does not load any discs.
    Any suggestions?

    Yes, it was of.
When i started it that day, the mobo beeped only after 1 min, mobo splash screen stayed for around 25 secs and after that win started only.
When i entered in win i noticed that one of my disks- the sata3 is not shown.
After i checked it also in bios, same there, not visible.
When i tried to write a dvd for a test program, i noticed that my dvdrom is not working as well, however is shown in bios and win,but won t load any disc.
Thanks for the support till now.

Spare cables no, but i will ask someone.
I tested it today with sea tools- same-just one disk showing.
(Someone said if the sea tools DOS sees it but bios and win not, then the drive is faulty.
    But does not detects it.

It could be that the drive has failed. you need to check it on another PC.

Can you swap the hard drive connections on your mobo to test.

    Ok, seems its dead.
Is there any trick to make it work some to save my datas from it? Even if its risky....
Don t have money to pay data recovery, costs awfully lot.

    Thanks,
    Jules

    jules,
I'm not an expert on these things, but if the drive wasn't making noises, then there is a chance that the drive's controller is faulty and drive controller's can be replaced. The how is beyond me but you might want to contact the mfg and to also google the topic.

You could try connecting it to a usb caddy and try to get your information from it.
Can you give us the serial number on the drive.
