Hi all, ive been having major problem with this card. I have no idea if the problem is occurring from my monitor, motherboard or graphics card. Basically my monitor is telling me that i cannot set my resolution to 1920 x 1080 with a display option saying that its "Generic Non PnP Monitor". I would love to run this card on its native 1920 x 1080 resolution. I have installed the latest driver as well.

I have connected the GPU with a DVI to VGA converter to the screen, meaning iam using a VGA cable not a DVI cable.

    Here is my build.

    Motherboard - Intel DP55WG
    Processor - Intel Core i5 650 @3.20GHZ
    GPU - Gigabyte HD6970 2GB
    Monitor - AOC 2436Vwh

Thank you so much, and please do help me out since ive been stuck on this problem for about some time now..:/

the converter is your problem, i had this problem as well and as soon as i replaced the adapter with a Proper dvi cord, it was fixed. so i suggest going out to buy a dvi cord :)

Hi there thank you for replying and helping, but my monitor doesnt support DVI but supports HDMI, so ive just started to use the HDMI and it got fixed. I now have 1920 x 1080 native resolution option.

Once again thank you for suggesting a solution.
