Windows 8 Download and Install

Windows 8 is the upcoming version of Microsoft Windows. On 29 February 2012, Microsoft released Windows 8 Consumer Preview, the beta version of Windows 8, build 8250.

System Requirements:

1. Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
2. RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
3. Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
4. Graphics card: Microsoft Direct X 9 graphics device or higher

Note: To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768.

The files will be downloaded in ISO format. You can burn it to a DVD using ImgBurn or you can burn it to a USB stick Download Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool and follow the on-screen steps.

Microsoft has just released Windows 8 Release Preview. According the Microsoft the system requirements are:

• Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
• RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
• Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

You can upgrade to Windows 8 Release Preview from Windows 8 Consumer Preview, Windows Developer Preview, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP. But not all the setting or application will be retained
