leave it for at least 5 minutes observe its activity does the speed of the flashing increase? do you notice the fan slow down and speed up again?
SO the light seemed to have picked up in speed but its kinda hard to tell. the fans seem to be normal they aren't speeding or slowing down.
ok im going to assume at this point you have a bad motherboard the flashing indicates the motherboard is trying to tune your ram to be compatable with your motherboard and its not even managing that strange thing is its sending a reset signal which is when the flashing increases, this puzzles me. but you should have to press and hold the mem ok for a few seconds to initiate the flashing when you power on and have a solid light which says your ram isnt compatable. I can only suggest you get the board tested and replaced.
Alright well thank you so much for the help and now I know that it most likely is the motherboard that is not working. Thank you for being patient while I worked this out!
was the issue with the motherboard? is computer still out of case? please eleborate on where you at exactly
Yes I got a new motherboard and now it turns on and everything but I need to boot up an OS. I got an Asus Crosshair V Formula mobo but I don't know how to install the OS.
alright so the cd that came with the mobo says its windows 7 ready does that mean it can boot it up or will I have to purchase an OS?
thats for the motherboard drivers, dont even use it the drivers outdated anyway. Yes if you want windows you will have to purchase it, else you can install a free os like LINUX
