dual booting ubuntu with xp

    I've an old pc with 40gb hard disk and 768 mb ram. The computer now has xp professional .

    There are 3 drives of 9,9,18 gb. The 18 gb disk is full of data.



    i wanted to install ubuntu .

    Can anyone give me instructions so that i can install it with out loosing any data .
