Custom Built PC randomly experiences system freezes

    My current PC specifications:



    Motherboard / Sound Card: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme / Onboard Sound Card
    RAM: 12 GB @ 1333 MHZ
    CPU / Cooler: Intel Core - i7 3820 @ 3.6 GHZ / Stock Cooler
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit
    GPU: Geforce GTX 590
    SSD: Intel 210 120GB
    HD: 1TB 7200RPM

    The problem that i'm having is that my system seems quite unstable. Sometimes the system would freeze and I would have to reset the PC. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thank You!

    Hi, could you give us a bit more information on what you mean when you day unstable. Have you checked temperatures?

    take it you fitted the cpu stock cooler your self?. maybe you havent put thermal paste on correct does it over heat?
