I'm running windows XP with sp3, my alt button and tab button work fine seperatly (so i know my keyboard isn't broken) and i've tried restarting with the last known good configuration, as well as restoring my computer to a point when i knew for sure that the hotkeys were working and I'm still having issues, ctrl+shift+esc is still working fine to bring up the task manager, but not being able alt+tab out of a full screen program is starting to get on my nerves... i have microsoft security essentials constantly updated and have run scans that come back clean... my 3yr old nephue got up early this week and got on my computer and had all sorts of junk open, so i don't know if its possible that he somehow erased the hotkeys, or clicked on something he shouldn't have that gave me a virus that msses isn't picking up (which is a first for me since i got the program). does anyone have any suggestions? (i'm about to re-install spybot S&D to see if that helps)

Thank you very much for the quick reply, i've saved the link so that i know what to do before posting next time, i tried resoring to the earliest date my PC would let me (when i downloaded sp3) and it seems to have fixed whatever the problem was, is there any other program thats free asside from msses that i should look into getting? i've tried avg free before and have had problems it couldn't fix that msses picked up and i also have malewarebites (i got rid of avg.. didn't like it too much)

Well I run Avast, Malwarebytes and use the win 7 firewall and all is good.

MSE is equally as good I hear.

General opinion these days is that Spybot is not the program that it once was Mary.

However you seem to have resolved the issue so can I mark this as solved?
