I'm sorry, what exactly do you mean?
Like one stick in at a time?
If so thats how I originally did the memtest

    Exactly, but..

    1) if the problem is intermittent, then it may not show up in a memtest because the problem isn't there at the time! Remember that you had a corrupted screen the first time around with one particular stick, until you re-seated the module and it worked fine.

    2) it is also possible for certain memory problems to pass a diagnostic.

Ah the problems happening again a little more frequently now. :/

So what is it you propose I do? Run the test again? I'm a bit confused, sorry!

With one stick at a time, see if your able to cause the system to crash as you normally would. Play Skyrim or whatever most often causes the problem.

So I left one stick in, played games for about an hour, exited, watched some videos...nothing

took it out, put the other in, did the same thing, and still nothing.

Both sticks are of the same maker/module or whatever (They came together) so it wouldn't be them interfering with each other or anything like that right?

Also I will probably try again tomorrow, just in case it DOES happen tomorrow!

Test for a little longer if you can, and also in different slots (if possible). It could be a particular slot that is bad.

Just checked the CR (Command Rate) that is set for these sticks, as this can sometimes be a problem when more than one is installed - but that looks good from the CPU-Z log.

These are not exactly the best sticks of memory money can buy, nor do they match the QVL for this board, so it could be also be compatibility issue.

Ahh, so do you think maybe if I change RAM to something compatible it'll be ok?

I do indeed! :) but like I said, just do a little more testing for a bit longer - in different slots just to be sure.

Ok, so I did some testing, not too much as I didn't have all the time I wished I did. Anyway, I found that when I have just one stick in the first slot, everything is perfect. (Either stick is fine in the first slot) Then, when I take it out, and only have one in the second, I get errors, the BSOD I attached happened when only one stick was in the second slot. I dont know much about this stuff, but do you think it has something to do with dual channel or whatever?

i'd really like to purchase new RAM, that matches my MB, but I just want to make sure these sticks are causing the problem before I go ahead and do that.

(I test the back 2 slots, because I didn't really intend on using them)

If you ever need to remove any previous attachments - under Your Control Panel, under "Miscellaneous" about half way down, click Attachments and they can be deleted from here.

It sounds like the second slot is bad.. you should have another two slots you could use?

So I tried to put the ram into the second two slots, it booted, read it as 4gigs, then immediately froze. No BSOD, not anything, just froze.

I took out the sticks, and put only one in the first slot of the second two slots. The computer wouldn't start up, just made a terrible beeping sound.

Took it out, put only one stick in the first slot of the first two, and everything runs fine.

    So thats leaves me with

First pair - Slot 1 works with one stick, Slot 2 does not work with one stick, computer freezes and bsods with both slot 1 and slot 2 filled at the same time

second pair - both filled, freezing, slot one beeping slot two I didn't even bother to try.

Do you think its just because my ram doesn't match the list? Or do you think it's my slots?

Yeah, the sticks have to be put in both colored slots (not one in either), so the beeping was to be expected. It sounds like the slots are bad TBH, it's the only conclusion I can come to why the stick would crash when memory is installed together or individually in the second slot. I would have thought a compatibility issue would have caused the same problem in any of the slots, but unless you have access to other memory to test to be completely certain, the only options I can see are:

    1) Buy a single 4gb stick from the QVL for the first slot.
    2) RMA the motherboard entirely.

I would suggest both really, but I don't know if that's an option for you.
