A fellow member is saying it sounds like your MBR is incorrect..
Have you made any changes to your PC prior to this issue? A NT server should not be an issue when installing a AV! Have you tried a different anti virus to install?

What kind of changes do you mean?
And yes I did try other AV's, multiple. They all pretty much gave me the same message.

Do you have McAfee installed on this server if so,you need to either keep this AV or un-install it and then install another AV this may be blocking your AV install to start with..

Oh that was something that accidentally came with another program. And that wasn't even an antivirus. Plus I already deinstalled it.

StefanMoek, All the major players have AV for Server 2008. McAfee, Symantec, Trend Micro, etc. After looking at your logs I am confused at how your MBR got changed. By rights your Windows installation should not boot. I suppose Win 7 and Server 2008 is similar enough in structure. Are you dual booting? Forgive me. I am not a Security Tech. I'm just a simple Tech retired. Over thirty years and I have never seen this problem. Usually when a virus alters the MBR it is seen as a non standard MBR entry. Live and learn.

If your MBR is altered then it needs to be reset to the original. Warning! Doing so could make your OS nonbootable.
