my buddy has this program called network magic and it is set to the wireless card in his computer. However the computer(desktop) is connect wired to the router..
It was not sending or receving, i updated the drivers and installed them I just dont know what else to do?
Are you trying to connect to a router with wireless or network card. Can you get the wireless test tool in my signature below on to the pc then right click and choose run as admin and post the results
Hi Mate replying to your PM, did you try uninstalling network magic? also can you ping the router? can you ping outside (websites) So your saying it thinks it wireless but it's wired connection and it has no wireless card?
I have uninstalled network magic and tired connecting, does not work Never tried to ping it at all. Well i took the wireless card out completely, but its still looking for it and there is a network card with a ether port that has a ether cable attached. I tired updating the driver and that didnt work either.
I went to the Task Manager and click on the network tab, it says their are no active network adapters found.
You dont have a network card go into the bios and make sure the network card/ethernet card is enabled
i also ran the cmd and typed ipconfig, it came up with An internal error occurred: The request is not supported. It is enabled(network card)
You cant get an ip without a card and its showing you havent got one. Does it show in device manager with a yellow triangle?
