Solved Cannot boot from USB

    this is the whole message when I boot from CD :(initramfs) mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on //filesystem.squashfs failed: Input/output error
    Can not mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs

    ONE of u guys send me the LINK of MINI ISO whts that ????????????????can i make BOOTABLE USB WITH IT ?& is it the FULL version of UBUNTU???????????/

    The minimal ISO is a network install cd image that you can use to install Ubuntu but instead of installing all of the packages from the cd image it downloads them and then installs them. I thought if you could put that on your USB stick the same way you did the full ISO image we could see if it would boot. Then if it does boot it rules out the USB stick.

    Another thing you could try is to use UNetbootin.

    BUT... the ISO itself itself isn't bootable. You will need to extract the files from within the ISO. 7-Zip can be used to extract files from an ISO.

    Not by itself no but you can boot from ISO files using boot loaders like grub4dos. Thats where programs like LinuxLive USB Creator and UNetbootin come in. they automatically extract the files from the iso image to a usb stick and installs a boot loader to the usb stick to boot it.:)

    SOrry for keeping u waiting for so long BUT u see my exams have been started so plz just wait till 20th sep i hope u understand what i m trying to say.....................:rolleyes:

    i formated my USB and downloaded the ISO again & tried & now i m using it,,,,,,,,,,
