Hi ya'll. I'm writing this on a separate computer.

    .NET Framework problem
Before anything, I read the sticky and I don't have my minidumps since I can't update to .NET Framework 4. An error code, 0X800c0005, appears. I downloaded the Framework 4 on another computer, put it on a USB flash drive ,tried to upload it on my BSOD computer via safe mode and the error code appears. Without this download going through I can't proceed.

Can anyone help me on this? I hope so . . .

    BSOD problem
Here's my story: In the past week my computer would shut down showing the blue screen. Before blue screen happened, I would set my tower to stand by mode and after awakening it the tower would make a loud rumbling sound -- it wouldn't stop until I shook it (probably shouldn't have done that). As of late, when I start my computer I receive the BSOD. I can access Safe Mode, though.

As mentioned in the title, my Dell was bought second hand about a year ago by my dad, worked fine save for the E drive (couldn't read DVDs or blank CDs so I had to go into My Computer) which, to my research, were outdated drivers. I'm not sure if this attributed to its current problem, but I wouldn't be surprised. I also don't believe the tower came with a back up CD or anything like that.

    The reappearing error code reads:

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to PCHF,
If you can login via safe mode, get all files from C:\Windows\Minidump, copy them to external storage and upload them from another machine if you cannot upload them via the problematic one.

The last dump was recorded on the 31st of July, have you switched on the machine after that in normal mode, did you get a BSOD?

Do you have sufficient hard disk space?

Any indication of malware on the machine?

Yes, after the 31st every time I started it in normal mode the BSOD appeared. I can only access the computer via Safe Mode afterwards. My hard disk space is very low: a little over 17%, and I ran Malewarebytes & Spybot - each reported no problems.

Well there weren't any crash dumps after the 31st in the archive you uploaded.

Hmmm, weird. That is odd that I don't have any logs after the 31st. Do you mean by normal mode just starting the computer up without hitting F8? If so, I've done that multiple times so I don't have a clue on what I should do to produce more logs. ::notsure::

Is there a Dr. House on hand?

Yep, that's normal mode. Wait for a while after the BSOD appears, it may take a while to dump the files to disk. Cut all existing logs from the folder and paste them somewhere else.

Okay, I waited like you said and was able to produce one -- is that enough? -- minidump for the 22nd of August.

Do you have any System Restore points available? Any before the first BSOD occurred?

^ I do. A bunch in July, none in August - I guess due to the BSOD.

Try to roll back to that restore point. Note that you will not be able to go back to your current state if you use System Restore in safe mode.

I selected a restore point in July, but the BSOD still appears when I either restart or reboot once the restore is done.
