Hello, I have recently started having an issue I can't figure out how to solve... hope this makes enough sense -

Certain programs blink / flash intermittently so that I lose function with them; Firefox windows, gaming windows (I usually don't have fullscreen on and it just switches to the background for a few seconds). It also affects my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), I use FL Studio to make music and it cuts out intermittently aswell, although the program itself doesn't blink / flash like the windows. Other programs such as music players don't have a problem though.

So far I've only tried updating drivers, there doesn't seem to be much help from search engines. There are a lot of similar blinking issues but none with any answers for mine that I can see.

    Hi
My Name is Kaushal and I Work for social media and community Team at Dell.
It seems like it's an issue with internet explorer. My suggestion would be, You need to install latest Java in the computer as well as Adobe flash player.
1:Follow these steps to reset internet explorer
Start>CtrlPanel>Internet options> Then you will have prompt coming up for internet properties, Click on advanced Tab and then click on Reset and it will once again ask you to click on reset button and internet explorer will be reset to factory settings.
2: Please visit www.Java.com and download the latest Java in the computer.
3: please visit www.adobe.com and please install latest Adobe flash player.

    It will fix the problem.

    Thanks

Would suggest you to check on the following thread, if it helps you:

Also i would like to know whether the problem is only on the browser, as you did mention that some of the programs are working fine.

    Please reply if anymore queries.

    Hi,

Apologies for the late reply, I have tried the advice and it hasn't fixed the issue.

As I said, I also get the problem using programs that are not using an internet connection, so it is not only in the browser. All audio / visual drivers are up to date & working, java / flash player is fine. Any other thoughts?

    Thanks

OK, my issue seemed to disappear for a few days but is back again. I have a clip to show what is happening in case it helps at all.

At the beginning you can see my browser flashing, the rest of the clip is my Digital Audio Workstation... as I said the actual application doesn't flash but it still freezes up.
