Welcome to the forum. On the test you are working ok. Can you give us more details what takes a long time to connect one of the problems will be you are running torrents and that cannot only bring malware but swamp the network. If you remove that does it then work ok?
minecraft/vent/steam/msn/skype d/c only lasts around 5sec but for xfire n a website it takes aprox. 5min till i can connect again. I have u Torrent installed but not using it /uninstalled for now It is a fresh installed win & i did malware scan n other scans befor i uninstalled win. Had kaspersky int. sec. 2012 % also malwarebyte. ps. last weekend when i played Tera i didn't d/c from that game at all like 15h but while that xfire n all other mentioned i got d/c
Did & atm just having the problem dosen't help. i'll wait till it recovers & see if it hits again. edit: Did not help, still happend.
hmm actualy i think it did help :O vent is still online only, from website its okay as well but xfire n steam i think still d/c If its dns what dose it mean then? :S If i recall correctly when i tryed dns for first time & took it off later i started having these problems. <Might be wrong.
When you go to a site the pc only know how to get there by ip so it needs to translate the web address into a ip which is what dns does if this doesnt work then it cant connect. By default the dns is set to the router which is slow the dns I gave you is a very fast one and also protects you from bad sites
I thought if i take dns off the d/c issues will reappear but hasent yet. I just mane dns automatic again. So its kinda confusing that dns just fixed d/c issue even with fresh win install :S
The router will act ok as a dns server until it gets under load then it will fail so you may not see it suddenly fail
hmm, as far as i looked at my router/modem (Cisco EPC3925 EuroDocsis 3.0 2-PORT Voice Gateway) i saw manual option for it and when dns was back on automated & i changed my router where could old info still stay in... thats whats bothering me or was the info still locked in my network card it self or my service provider? :S dns was off when i got new router & reinstalled windows
Uhm my problem is back.... actualy its been back forawhile now i just haven't gotten the time for it... n now its bugging the hell out of me /help?
