    Hey all,

I'm buying a new laptop and I've narrowed my choice down to Alienware's m17 and their m17x.

Here's the specs of each that I would order:

    m17:
Graphics Card: Dual 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3870 - Crossfire Enabled
    Processor: Intel® Core™2 T9600 2.8GHz (6MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

    RAM: 4 GB
Hard Drive: 500 GB, RAID 0 configuration
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
    Warranty: 3 yrs

    m17:
    Graphics Card: Dual 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GT – SLI Enabled
    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB)

    RAM: 4 GB
Hard Drive: 500 GB, RAID 0 configuration
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
    Warranty: 3 yrs

    Which do you recommend? Thanks.

Why not just buy a cheap lappy for school work and beef up your existing desktop, or get a new desktop? Would cost a lot less than 3,500, heck, you'd probably be looking at barely past 1,800$.. o_O

    I'm assuming it's for college?
