I typed Y and it completed the install.

Now it's a blue and grey screen in the little window.

Its asking me:

no configuration needed local only choose none if you cant choose cancel

ok, i chose No Configuration and it carried on doing stuff.

Lots of text came up and now, disk was spinning. Disk has now stopped and it is saying:

it came up with a window saying:

An error occured while scanning the system

It seems that smartctrl doesn't have enough permissions to access devices

sudo smartcontrol

It says command no found when i type in "sudo smartcontrol"

when you got that error was it gsmartcontrol you typed? sorry my typo

Ok, type it in correctly and now it is showing:

right click that drive and select test, or something to that effect and select short test click execute button to start when it is done click view output and post the output please

ok,i chose the Short Self Test and it will take 2 mins it says... will post when its done.

Ok, the test is done and came back with "No Errors".

I clicked View Output and it opens a box with lots of txt... which part do you need?

I'm working on a seperate latop so cnt copy and paste but will type up whatever you need.

thats ok if it passed the hard drive should be fine you might like to do a long test to verify this however, could you also post a link to your previous thread. you may have a partitioning issue here.
