Replaced the tv out cable and adapter and it still happens.

I've ordered a new tv out lead kit so I'll let you know once its delivered and tested how its doing. It will be a few days until I recieve it though....
Thats a good sign. I'd look into reinstalling/updating graphics card drivers. Making sure DirectX is up to date too. Too check what version directx...
First thing I would do is go into safe mode with networking (F8) on start up then try to have a surf in safe mode to see if it persists.
I'd run the ngen.exe executequeueditems anyway to rule it out. Good luck on finding a solution.
This sounds like something I had happen 6 months ago and it ended up being .net hadnt finished all it compiling...

yeah, I ran the ati auto detect after reboot and it downloaded the exact same version of driver and installed them. I've still not got any joy here...
