ok could you right click on Realtek RTL8187S Wireless LAN PCIE Network Adaptor and select uninstall , click ok and reboot the computer ,
once it restarts you should see it "FIND NEW HARDWARE " and it should then reinstall it
is there a button or slide which turns on and off the wifi ?

ok
do you have any icons on the bottom right hand side that would be a program which is related to wireless, this may look like an antenna with signal lines around it or maybe a small computer type icon which when you hovver the mouse over it it may say something relating to wireless or realtek
?
do you have a program called hotstart buttons or something similar on it ?
