At my school each student recieves a laptop for use for our studies and researches and whatnot. This year I decided to get a laptop for myself rather than taking the one the school gives me ( the school gives a macbook.)
About a week ago, my laptop and my iphone stopped being able to connect to the schools internet. Yet all the other laptops (the macs) still worked. My friend told me his ipod touch could still connect and today I tested with my moms iphone and hers still could too, yet neither my pc nor my iphone couldn't. When this first happened I asked them why and they said they're blocking people who don't get a laptop from the school as a safety mesure. I assume this means they've specifically somehow blocked my laptop and my iphone.
Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this? I tried spoofing my mac address and a ton of other stuff for my laptop :/ I really need it for class work tomorrow. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Oops I also clean formatted my computer, erased everything and installed windows 7 from scratch assuming it would somehow fix the problem, still a nono, all that happens when I try to connect is that it shows the status bar and after a bit it says "connecting is taking longer than usual" and then just times out. Doesn't even take me to the username and password section.
